They're designed for it. The bags are mono-material PE, so they can be processed in the level 4 PE stream where local collection accepts mono-material flexible plastics. Acceptance varies by council, so check your region's streams — unlike mixed laminates, these bags are recyclable wherever that stream exists.

A conventional coffee bag laminates different plastics (and sometimes aluminium) together — layers recyclers can't separate. A mono-material bag builds every layer from one polymer family, in our case polyethylene, so the whole bag can be recycled as a single plastic.

Recyclable PE offers a good barrier — below high-barrier foil, but comfortably enough for coffee and dry foods that sell within a few months. The EVOH barrier layer preserves freshness, and one-way degassing valve and zip options are available across the range.

PCR means post-consumer recycled — plastic that has already lived one life as packaging. Our PCR bags use the same recyclable mono-PE construction with up to 30% recycled content allocated via a mass balance approach, supporting Plastic Packaging Tax planning and giving your brand a genuine circular story.
